Summary
DescriptionKuniteru Gozu dragon.jpg |
English: Gozu Tennō kills a dragon to save Princess Inada. He, whose name literarily means "ox-headed heavenly king," is a deity of Buddhist origin considered identical to Shinto's Susano'o no Mikoto. Note that Tennō (天王) here means "heavenly king" and is distinguished from Japanese Emperor's title Tennō (天皇), though the two share the same pronunciation. |
